JAMMU: JKPCC Vice President Raman Bhalla on Monday convened workers meeting at Guru Nanak Nagar area in Gandhi Nagar constituency. Prominent among those present in the meeting include Amrit Bali Vice Chairman Refugee Cell, Vijay Chib DCC Gen Secy Coordinator, Kulbhushan Sharma Ex Corporator, Mandeep Singh Block President, Balwinder Singh Rinku, Gurdeep Singh Working Ward President, Ravi Singh, Raju Kutyar, Sanjay Gupta Murli, Tarsem Lal, Lajju Ram, Suresh Kumar Dogra, Daya Ram, Ajay Singh Chib, Sham Lal, Ashwani Sethi beside others. Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla urged the Party Cadres to strengthen the Congress Party further, saying it is the Congress Party alone which is capable of defeating the wrong policies of BJP and ensuring justice to people.
“Our only stand is a single J-K, to maintain its unity and integrity and respecting the wishes and aspirations of the people of J-K,” Bhalla said, adding that dialogue and inclusiveness were vital essence of a democracy. He said that collective approach was imperative for fulfillment of the distinct urges and developmental aspirations of the region.
He stressed the need for further strengthening the communal harmony, saying that bonding between various segments of the society and regions holds promise for prosperous, progressive and united Jammu and Kashmir. He said social justice forms core of the democratic set-up and this should be ensured at all the levels and at all costs. “Harmony is interlinked to justice for all and discrimination to none”, he said, adding that this principle should be the guiding philosophy for achieving the objective of class-less society. “The development effort initiated by the Congress government was brought to grinding halt due to policy paralysis of the BJP,” he said. He castigated inimical forces for indulging in rhetoric and promoting divisive politics as they had nothing to offer to the people. These political actors keep self above the people and work for pursuing their own agenda. He said development has become a big casualty due to the self centric approach of the BJP, which is now again hoodwinking the public opinion by making false promises and indulging in emotive politics.
