The heated arguments turned ugly when a netizen lost his cool over illogical behavior of the ‘respectable husband’ and served him with a slap, much to his shock and embarrassment. It so happened that the husband of the Corporator, who has earned the reputation of ignoring her ward and not carrying out any civic work or activity, went to adjacent ward and halted the works being executed. Reason; he did not want the people of her wife’s ward to know about the good work being done by the Corporator of the other ward. This, he believed, would discredit his wife and portray her in bad light as far as civic amenities to the people are concerned.
The residents pleaded with the infuriated husband of the adjacent ward’s Coporator not to create obstacles, as the works being carried out were in the best interests of their ward. This infuriated the ‘arrogant’ husband of the ‘arrogant’ Corporator. Instead of behaving, as all this was neither his domain nor of his Corporator wife, he started arguing boorishly. While he was fleeing, some children were seen hooting at him.
Upon this, the netizens lost their cool and pounced upon the husband of the Corporator, with some angry residents slapping and hurling blows to him. Embarrassed and shocked, the unbridled husband preferred to run for his life than to argue further or create obstacles in the works of another ward.
The residents, wondered over the behavior of the husband of Corporator, said his unnecessary interference will be brought to the notice of the senior leaders of the party, to which his wife owes allegiance.
