Dear Editor,
Sub Division Marwah is a far flung area of District Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir, where people have no basic facilities like proper motorable road, electricity, mobile network, telecommunication services, availability of Doctors and nurses in hospitals, unavailability of teaching staff in High schools, Higher Secondary schools as well as Degree College.
Internet is basic need of 21st century. At present era using internet is the fundamental right of every citizen. Internet is one of the best modes for arising issues and problems of public. It is one of the basic needs of human life in 21st century especially in the era of Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Unfortunately the people of Sub Division Marwah (Dacchan, Marwah, Warwan) don’t have internet facility. The students of Sub Division Marwah (Dacchan, Marwah, Warwan) are facing a lot of difficulties in during studies and filling of online forms for jobs and scholarships.
During the COVID -19, Ministry of Education Govt of India issues guidelines for holding online classes, online examinations, online interviews and online couching courses. But students of Marwah,Warwan and Dacchan are unable to avail any benefit during the pandemic. Students of Marwah are worried regarding their future, as there are no online or offline teaching facility available during ongoing pandemic. Schools are closed and online classes are not possible without internet.
I would like to request LG of Jammu and Kashmir and Govt of India to install the Jio and Airtel towers at Marwah, Dacchan and Warwan and regulate BSNL towers which are already installed but are not functional besides providing internet facility for people of sub division Marwah, so that students of subdivision Marwah can avail the benefit of online classes. Please provide us an opportunity for becoming members of Global village.
Vijay Kumar Dhar.
