JAMMU: The older generation of our population is a valuable part of our society. Our parents and grandparents are the live memories of history, imparting well-earned wisdom and advice, and providing support and guidance to their children and grandchildren as they navigate the many different aspects of life.
Keeping in this view, JK Public School Panjtirthi virtually celebrated Senior Citizen Day with fervour.
Through the celebration, Jakiians were taught as how the constant guidance and advise by our elderly show us the right path and prevent us from making mistakes.
Jakiians presented beautiful performances to salute the selfless spirit and well earned wisdom of the elderly and wished them a healthy and joyful life.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah SAID, “This is a day to recognise the contribution and remind seniors that they are an important part of our country.”
“This day is also celebrated to support honour and show appreciation to our seniors and to recognise their achievements.
They are the highly experienced persons and can guide the young ones,” she added. She further said, “Every elder you disregard today, remember the fact that you shall become old too and then you shall be treated in the same way. An elderly person at home is like a living golden treasure, without support blessings and love of elders there is a big void in our lives which nothing in this world can fill. Always love and respect your elders.”
