STATE TIMES NEWS KULGAM: Police on Tuesday recovered a kidnapped minor girl within an hour and arrested accused involved in the commission of crime. As per details, Police Station Kulgam received a written complaint from a person stating therein that his minor daughter was kidnapped by one Muntazir Ahmad Shakhsaz, son of Mohammad Yaqoob Shakhsaz, resident of Chawalgam. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 197/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kulgam and investigation initiated. During investigation, a team headed by SHO Police Station Kulgam under supervision of DySP Hqrs Kulgam Ghulam Mohd Bhat was constituted to trace and rescue kidnapped girl. Acting on specific leads and by utilizing all available means, the team was able to recover kidnapped girl. The accused was also arrested within an hour after the receipt of complaint. After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation into the matter is under progress.
