KULGAM: Continuing its efforts to eradicate menace of drugs from the society, Kulgam Police on Tuesday arrested a notorious drug-peddler identified as Reyaz Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, resident of Churat Qazigund, who was evading arrest for a long time. Acting swiftly on a specific information regarding his presence, a special team from Police Station Qazigund headed by SHO Qazigund under the supervision of SDPO Qazigund Govind Rattan raided a specified location and arrested the absconder. As per police records, he was the mastermind of drug mafia along NHW in Qazigund area and was wanted by law for his involvement in cases registered vide FIR Nos. 171/2008, 227/2014, 208/2016, 209/2016, 161/2021 and 172/2021 at Police Station Qazigund.
