RAJOURI: Part of the plan to visit and play homage to those martyrs, the NCC cadets of High School Sawani today visited the memorial of DySP Ghanishyam, who sacrificed his life while fighting the enemy in Srinagar on December 27, 1999.
The NCC cadets, under the guidance of Sahil Raina, Associate NCC Officer (ANO) 5th Bn NCC Pooch also took part in cleanliness drive at the memorial under the overall supervision of Commanding Officer (CO), Shrikant Rai.
Speaking to the cadets at the memorial, Sahil Raina while signifying the importance of the visit, aware the cadets about the life of Martyr Ghanishyam who born and brought up in village Sawani. A teacher at Middle School Sawani, Ghanishyam joined the J&K Police as Sub-Inspector and then made supreme sacrifice for the Nation at cargo complex Srinagar.
