REASI: Continuing a drive against underground criminals & absconders under ‘F’rari Ki Girftari’ initiative, Reasi Police arrested sixteen more absconders, evading arrests since years and executed 32 warrants in last one week. A Kidnapping and Rape case in FIR No 30/1994 under sections 366, 376, 342, 343, 109 of RPC was registered at Police Station Mahore and proved against accused Lal Din, son of Abdul Ghani and Abdul Rashid, son of Dulla, both resident of Thanpal Arnas. To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be arrested for which Session court Reasi issued General warrant of arrest under section 512 of CrPC on August 21, 1999 against them. After 27 years of commission of crime, on developing specific information both the absconders are arrested while they were visiting Arnas and produced in the court of law.
On June 16, 2010, FIR No 73/2010 under section 120-B, 121 RPC, 7/25 Arms act was registered at Police Station Mahore, and case was proved against Mohd Shafi alias Haroon Rashid, resident of Mohd Akbar, resident of Dewal Doga and Bashir Ahmed alias Rashad, son of Habib Sheikh, resident of Neoch Mahore. Both the accused couldn’t be apprehended and JMIC Mahore issued General warrant of arrest under sections 512 of CrPC against accused on September 05, 2010. Team of Reasi Police developed specific information and arrested both these absconders from Dewal area. Both accused remained affiliated with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit of terrorists and later surrendered before security forces.
After 26 years of commission of crime, accused Kuldeep Singh, son of Badri Nath, resident of Ward no 11 Reasi was arrested from Reasi by team of Reasi Police. Kuldeep, a theft accused, wanted in case FIR no 95/1995 under sections 382, 201, 34 of RPC jumped trial proceedings to avoid conviction. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Court of JMIC Katra on September 19, 2003. Absconder Ibrahim, son of Roshan Din, resident of Seerni Bathoi Mahore wanted in case FIR No 39/1989 under sections 457, 380 of RPC Police Station Mahore was arrested after 32 years of commission of crime. General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Court of JMIC Mahore on January 06, 1990.
Ibrahim a habitual thief was also wanted in case FIR no 111/1989 under sections 380 and case FIR No 118/1989 under sections 382/224/332/353 of RPC at Police Station Mahore. All these theft cases were proved against him and to avoid conviction, he evaded trial proceedings. He was preaching at a religious place in Sidhra Jammu with a changed identity.
Theft Accused absconder Mohd Gafoor, son of Bagh Hussain, resident of Seela wanted in FIR No 11/1997 under sections 457/380 of RPC of Police Station Reasi was arrested after 24 years of commission of crime and produced in court of law by team of Reasi Police. Gafoor evaded trial proceedings in proved theft case to avoid conviction. A General Warrant of arrest was issued under sections 512 of CrPC was issued by court of JMIC Reasi on November 21, 1997.
Team of Reasi Police arrested absconding criminal Abdul Mahmood, son of Sabar Ali, resident of Reasi after 22 years of chase. Accused was wanted in FIR No 30/1996 under sections 279, 337 at Police Station Katra. Case was proved & challaned in court of law. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Court of JMIC Reasi on January 23, 1999.
Absconder Des Raj, son of Kamlu, resident of Reasi, wanted in FIR No 10/1999 under sections 289 of RPC at Police Station Bhawan was arrested and produced in court of law after 22 years of Commission of crime. To avoid conviction in a proved case accused jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be arrested. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued on March 8, 2003 against the accused by court of JMIC Katra.
Absconding Criminal Sukhdev, son of Chamail Singh, resident of Gun Kolsar got arrested after 19 years of commission of crime. Sukhdev, wanted in FIR No 197/2002 under sections 279, 429 of RPC jumped trial proceedings in the case proved against him and couldn’t be arrested since issuance of General Warrant of Arrest against him by Court of JMIC Katra on May 27, 2005. He was nabbed and produced in the court of law by team of Reasi Police.
Team of Reasi Police on a specific information raided and arrested Mohd Yousaf, son of Abdul Gani, resident of Jamslan Mahore wanted in case FIR 132/2011 under section 48 A of Excise act from Dharmari Arnas, who was evading trial proceedings and a General Warrent of arrest was issued by Court of JMIC Katra on May 14, 2013.
Absconding Criminal Satpal, resident of Puran Chand, resident of Kanjli Derababa got arrested in a raid by Reasi Police from Dera Baba. To avoid conviction accused was evading trial in FIR No 15/2015 under sections 341, 323 RPC at Police Station Katra and a General Warrant of Arrest was issued by Court of JMIC Katra.
Accused Shadi Lal, son of Dev, resident of Ogad Doda who was evading arrests since last 17 years in FIR No 69/2001 under section 430, 451 RPC of Police Station Katra got arrested on a specific information from district Doda. Warrant of arrest was issued against him by Court of Sub Judge Katra on January 09, 2004.
Team of Reasi Police arrested absconder Sham Lal, son of Chuni Lal, resident of Jagti Nagrota from Jammu after 11 years of crime. Sham Lal was evading trail proceedings in FIR no 166/2011 under sections 353, 341 of RPC registered and proved against him by Police station Katra. A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Court of JMIC Katra on December 27, 2011.
Absconder Yashpal, son of Munshi Ram, resident of Jhajjar Kotli wanted in FIR No 137/2009 under sections 452, 34, 325 of RPC at Police Station Katra got arrested by team of Reasi Police from Jammu. Accused jumped trial proceedings to avoid conviction in the case for which General Warrant of Arrest was issued by Court of JMIC Katra on February 21, 2017.
Team of Reasi Police arrested Absconder Ashok Kumar, son of Hari Chand, resident of Pouni wanted in FIR No 220/2008 under section 48 of Excise of Police Station Reasi. A general warrant of arrest under section 512 of CrPC was issued on May 18, 2013 by Court of JMIC Reasi.
‘F’rari Ki Girftari’ is an initiative of SSP Shailender Singh for arresting the absconders who are evading arrests since years. Under this drive Reasi Police remained successful in nabbing hardcore, notorious & habitual criminals who were evading due process of law since years and against whom General Warrants of Arrest were issued by Courts were pending. 86 absconding criminals who were evading arrests since years, were arrested and produced in the concerned courts since Singh has taken over the charge as SSP Reasi. Thirteen other General Warrants of Arrest were also executed.
