SRINAGAR: As part of the ‘Iconic Week Celebrations’ of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt of India under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Srinagar on Saturday organized a mini Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh Srinagar.
Speakers stressed on the need to follow the ideals that have inspired our national struggle for freedom and also called upon the youth to lead the way by individual as well as collective efforts to usher a new age of a Self Reliant India.
Students participated in the eloquence, drawing and quiz competitions during the programme and the Private Registered Troupes (PRT) of ROB, J&K presented cultural programmes during the event.
The programme was attended by the Nusrat Bukhari, Principal of the host School, staff and students of the institution.
Other dignitaries present included officers from various media units of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting including Qazi Salman, Head of Doordarshan News, Srinagar, Ghulam Abass, Deputy Director Press Information Bureau,Srinagar, Shabir Ahmad Dar, News Editor, DD News Srinagar, Ishfaq Ahmad Shah, News Editor, All India Radio, Srinagar and Shahid Mohammd Lone, Field Publicity Officer, Anantnag.
Others present were Mohammad Iqbal Khan, Field Publicity Assistant, FOB Srinagar and Sikander, FPA Srinagar.
