STATE TIMES NEWS VIJAYPUR: “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” is a 75 week long nationwide program and is dedicated to the celebration of 75 years of Independence. To Commemorate the day and in continuation to the sequel of events organized under this banner, NSS unit (KHIDMAT) of GDCVijaypur organized online Essay writing Competition on the topic “India’s Freedom Struggle”, with the aim to highlight the revolutionary ideas, vision, passion and patriotism of the freedom fighters involved in the freedom movement . Students from various Institutions across the Nation participated with great zeal, enthusiasm and fervor;relishing the competition,vital information, enriching ideas and actual facts of the glorious Indian freedom struggle and also remembered the contributions and sacrifices of the freedom fighters. The first position was shared by Sameer Kumar of GDC Batote and Prinka Devi of GDC Ramgarh.The second position was shared by Sachit Karloopia of University of Jammu; Manish Singh of GDC Vijaypur and Abhi Kumar of GDC Ramgarh while the third position was secured byAbhay Kumar of GDC Vijaypur. The Consolation was bagged by Diksha Kattru of GDC Vijaypur. The event was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. She apprised the students that the struggle for Independence was a long and toilsome journey for our forefathers. In this struggle, the skill of writing was used as a huge enabler for the thoughts and ideas of freedom. It served as a huge tool for the upliftment of the spirits of the oppressed Indian society. This competition is to value that revolutionary artistic ability. The event was co-ordinated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS PO) and adjucated by Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Dr. Shittal Sharma and Prof Anil Bhagat.E-certificates were awarded to all the winners.
