STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Police on Saturday rescued kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused. As per details, on July 18, 2021, a written complaint was lodged at Police Post Pounichak by mother of a minor girl that her daughter went missing and it is suspected that she has been kidnapped. On this case FIR No. 197/2021 under sections 363, 376 of IPC and 4 of POCSO Act was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation was started. After this special teams of Police Post Pounichak under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kousheen Koul were constituted. The team led by SHO Domana Insp Mahesh Sharma assisted by Incharge Police Post Pouni Chak SI Dilawar Kumar connected various leads and with the support of technical assistance of Budgam police recovered the kidnapped girl was recovered from Berwa. The accused namely Mohd Mustfa, son of Mohd Yaqoob, resident of Chanderkote District Ramban at present residing at Tirlokpur Jammu was also arrested. The girl was handed over to CWC Jammu after completing all medico-legal formalities and her family was informed accordingly.
