Now the time has changed, the States / UTs across the country are hiring the services of reputed International players to enhance the skills of the players. This practice has produced great results.
In the present era, the Indian league is being played where all players from the rest of the country participate. However, it is observed that a scant representation is seen from Jammu and Kashmir. The main reason why players hinder to exhibit talent is lacking from modern skill and techniques which is improved only in Academies by the professionals.
If J&K really has to be in the game then some certain steps are required to be taken and first and foremost among all is establishment of Sports Academies. This only will ensure participation of JK players in I- league and even playing at International level.”
