STATE TIMES NEWS VIJAYPUR: General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party and Former Minister Yashpal Kundal flayed administration for increased power cuts in Vijaypur area. Addressing the media persons at his Vijaypur office, Kundal said that the problem of power cuts is increasing day by day in the area and we have never seen such a bad condition of electricity before. “The BJP government has miserably failed in supplying electricity to the people. Every day farmers are trying to wake up the administration from their sleep by taking to the streets” he said adding the government, who is intoxicated with power, is continuously ignoring the farmers. The farmers’ crops have reached the brink of drought. Due to the lack of power supply, the crops of the farmers are drying up. Due to wrong policies of BJP, farming is also proving costly to the farmers. He demanded LG to waive off the loans taken on KCC and electricity rent of the farmers because the pump sets of farmers are not running due to lack of power supply. Later, a delegation from Shiv Nagar, Vijaypur, who has been looking for development for the last 20-25 years, met former minister Yashpal Kundal and narrated their grievances in which they accused all the parties of ignoring Shiv Nagar. Ruldu, Sunita etc. of the delegation while apprising the leader abouth the problems of Shiv Nagar said that for the last 25-30 years, Shiv Nagar has been a victim of neglect. There is neither any street nor any drain. The claims of development of the administration are being made in the paper only. People said that they voted for BJP in DDC that maybe this time they will get freedom from this hell. But after taking votes, DDC did not consider it good to know the condition of the people. Ruldu, Suraj, Papi, Jyoti Devi, Satveer Kaur etc. told Kundal that they have been living in Shiv Nagar for 20 years. In these 20 years, three MLAs were made from Vijaypur, but Shiv Nagar has always been a victim of neglect.
