60 fresh Covid cases reported in J&K, 5 in Ladakh

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 60 new Covid cases– nine from Jammu division and 51 from the Kashmir Valley, thus taking the total to 331698.
Also, one COVID death has been reported from Jammu Division, officials said
Moreover, 90 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 23 from Jammu Division and 67 from Kashmir Division.
Officials said that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported during the past 24 hours, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 49.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 331698 positive cases, 835 are Active Positive (129 in Jammu Division and 706 in Kashmir Division), 326433have recovered and 4430 have died; 2176 in Jammu division and 2254 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 15975291test results available, 331698 samples have tested positive and 15643593 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides,27,553 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 3749278persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7614 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 835 in isolation and 450901 in home surveillance. Besides, 3285498 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Meanwhile, Ladakh has recorded five fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 20,904 while the number of active cases in the union territory has gone down to 37, officials said.
Ladakh has registered 208 Covid-related deaths 150 in Leh and 58 in Kargil since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.
Six patients of coronavirus were cured and discharged from hospitals, thereby taking the tally of recoveries to 20,659, they said.
A total of 173 sample reports in Ladakh were tested negative, they said.
There was no death reported due to Covid in Ladakh Sunday.
All the five new cases were reported in Leh, they said.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in Ladakh has gone up to 37 including 36 in Leh and 1 in Kargil district.
