STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: After putting in strenuous efforts for last ten years, the ‘Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Sikh Youth Organisation, Rajouri (Regd)’ led by its President, Rajvinder Singh Puri has finally succeeded in establishing the exact place and date of birth of Martyr Banda Singh Bahadur. As per the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri’s letter no DCR/2020-21/SQ/80-81 dated 12-6-2020, after detailed scrutiny of Revenue records of the area, it has been confirmed that place of birth of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur is ‘Daddan Wali Bowli, village Gowardhan Pain, Tehsil & District Rajouri while his exact date of birth is October 16, 1670.’ Speaking on the occasion, Rajvinder Singh Puri said that birth place of the great soul is presently under occupation of India Army and matter has been taken up with the concerned authorities for vacation of the land at the earliest.
