STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Government College for Women (GCW), Bhagwati Nagar on Monday organized a Dogri Folk song and Dogri Poetry Recitation programme to celebrate the Iconic Week Festival under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. In the event, around 20 students of the college participated and presented variety of folk songs and poems highlighting the rich Dogra heritage and culture. Principal, Prof. Minnie Sharma emphasized on the need of preserving and enriching Dogra culture and language in the present as well as for future generations by organizing such events at regular intervals. She also encouraged the students to embrace their own local language and culture for their personality development. The event was organized under the supervision of Prof. Parwinder Kaur.
