JAMMU: Jammu Police organised ‘Run For Unity’ at Bahu Plaza, here to give salutation to police martyrs who have sacrificed their precious lives for the motherland.
Around 250 enthusiasts participated in the event in different age categories.
The rally started from Bahu Plaza, Jammu and was flagged off by Mukesh Singh, ADGP Jammu Zone.
The rally was held in four different age categories, females, below 20 yrs, age between 20-50 yrs and above 50 yrs. Jammu Police organised the event in collaboration with Banyan International School in which Vicky Mahajan Managing Director and Principal Rajesh Kumar played a key role. Sanyog Katoch also helped in organising the event.
The students of Banyan International School performed cultural items before starting the rally thus adding enthusiasm among the participants.
The rally started from Central Park, Bahu Plaza and was flagged off by Mukesh Singh ADGP Jammu Zone in presence of Chandan Kohli, SSP Jammu and Dr. Koushal Sharma, SSP Traffic Jammu.
Other dignitaries present were Ramneesh Gupta, SP Hqrs. Jammu, Deepak Digra, SP South Jammu, Sajad Sarwar, SDPO City East Jammu and Deepak Pathania SHO Bahu Fort.
The whole event was sponsored by Anil Communications, IW-99, Anytime Fitness Gym and Wadhera Sounds.
Around 150 medals were distributed among the participants of all the categories and special prizes were awarded to the first three winners in each category.
Age 50 above: Mukesh Singh, ADGP Jammu, 1st, Surinder Choudhary, SP, 2nd and Naresh Kumar DySP, 3rd.
Below 20 yrs: Sunil Kumar, 1st, Karan Singh, 2nd and Raghav Sharma, 3rd.
Age between 20-50 yrs: Ashwani Kant, 1st, Ram Raj, 2nd and Rajesh Kumar, 3rd.
Females: Mandeep Kour, 1st, Seerat Jasrotia, 2nd and Shabnam, 3rd.
Mukesh Singh, ADGP Jammu, Chandan Kohli, SSP Jammu and Dr. Koushal Sharma, SSP Traffic Jammu distributed prizes among the winners of rally (Children and Adults).
