JAMMU: A meeting of the Airport Advisory Committee (AAC) was held at Jammu Airport under chairmanship of Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma. The meeting was convened by Sanjeev Kumar Garg, Airport Director, Jammu.
Members from Indian Air Force, District Administration, CISF along with Nominated members from trade, commerce, industry and socio-political field were present during the meeting. A brief presentation was made by Airport Director highlighting traffic position, passenger facility, development works and various issues.
During the meeting, the Chairman took note of latest developments regarding land acquisition for New Terminal Building in Beli Charana area besides discussing the blue print of the same with the participants. DC Jammu raised issue of extension of watch hours in order to cater to late night flights. MP requested all members to come together to sort out the issue, since development work of airport is the primary objective. The meeting ended with a formal vote of thanks to chair.
