NCC training camp culminates at Sunderbani

SUNDERBANI: Nine day long annual training camp of 5 J&K Bn NCC in which 300 cadets of all Divisions/Wings of NCC participated, was concluded today at Sunderbani. The camp which started on October 18, 2021 on Military and Non-Military subjects ended on Tuesday with motivational talk by BSF Commandant Khanindra Choudhary and Army Officers.
Brig Vikram Raina, Gp Cdr, NCC Gp HQ Jammu also visited the camp at LOC on 22 Oct 2021 and inspected the camp. He interacted with the cadets and motivated them to set high standard of discipline and ethics and hard work to achieve their goals.
The camp was designed to impart, skills in Arms, wpns, map reading and Sharpen their physical, mental and intellectual skill under the guidance of trained Army PI Staff. It also provided a platform for cadets to showcase their individual skill and talent in group activities for which cultural events were organized. This collective camp training will form the foundation for cadets to participate in upcoming National level camp and RDC parade.
During this camp, the cadet got opportunity to pay homage to our mil hero Brig Mohd Usman, MVC (Posthumous) at Jhanghar war memorial. This event was organized in close cooperation with local army units at Nowshera and was live telecast on Gallantry award portal on 22 Oct 2021 and was covered in local media.
The culmination of the camp was the cultural Programme designed and choreographed by cadets where each and every cadet got opportunity to showcase their individual and group talent. This included Dance, Songs, Solo skit and group dance by the cadets. The cultural evening was followed by a sumptuous Bara Khana/Camp fire as per the traditions of Army.
