JSS Jammu launches Journalism Club

JAMMU: Hard work compounds like interest, and the earlier you do it, the more time you have for the benefits to pay off. Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu deem it a matter of colossal privilege to share with all the stake holders the grandeur launch of Journalism Club and second issue of annual school magazine “Digdharshni” by famed and prestigious Dr Manish Prakash (Assistant Professor Department of Mass Communication and New Media CU, Jammu), Khushboo Mattoo (Consulting Editor Network -18), Harpreet Singh Anand (Chairperson Jammu Sanskriti School), Rohini Aima (Principal Cum Vice-Chairperson Jammu Sanskriti School) in the presence of school Co-ordinators, teachers and students.
The inauguration ceremony embarked with the traditional lighting of diyas & tilak ceremony ensued by welcome song by school choir.
The august gathering was addressed by Rohini Aima in which she confabulated about the notion conceived by her regarding the amelioration of the journalist of the school. This was followed by breath taking guitar performance.
The Advisors to Journalism Club of the school bequeathed upon Sanskritians their wisdom of experience and stated that there needs to be an amalgamation of ethics, morals & norms related to journalism. For being honest journalist one needs to be an honest researcher, discussing myriad of problems and multifarious solutions available therein.
Dr. Manish Prakash apprised children need about the panorama of Mass media & Khushboo Mattoo enlightened children about developmental journalism and the issues to be covered by the budding journalists.
The event marked its closure with gratitude ceremony and vote of thanks which was conveyed by Pooja Wazir.
Speaking on the event, Rohini Aima congratulated the team JSS for their spectacular show and conferred that the school has carved another niche and added another souvenir by launching journalism club so as to instill in sanskritians the values of authentication and toil for the promulgation of reliable and accountable information. The whole event was organized and conducted by Munmun Kohli (Chief Editor- School Media), Shavita Dubey (I/c Journalism club) and Shivani (Asstt. I/c Journalism Club).
