JAMMU: Pan NHPC Athletics Tournament is being organized by NHPC Regional Office, Jammu at Prem Nath Dogra Sports Ground, Smailpur.
Rajan Kumar, Executive Director inaugurated the tournament on Friday.
Addressing the players, Rajan Kumar said that through sports we can further enhance our physical and mental abilities and develop a better work culture through sports.
Employees from NHPC Power Stations/Projects located in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana and other places of the country participated in this tournament.
In this tournament 60 men and women employees are participating in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, long jump, high jump and triple jump events.
The winners of these events will participate in the athletics tournament organized by Power Sector Sports tournament.
