ABGGRF seeks land for establishment of Gaushalla

JAMMU: A delegation of Akhil Bhartiya Gurukul and Gaushalla Research Foundation (ABGGRF) met Mayor Jammu Chander Mohan Gupta and sought allotment of land for making Nandi and Gaushalla. The delegation was led by Adv P.S Chandel, Incharge J&K ABGGRF and Sunil Sharma, National Executive member of Youth Wing.
At the outset, the Incharge J&K ABGGRF said that the calves are being neglected in Jammu as these animals have become redundant due to scientific farming techniques. He urged the Mayor to allot land for Gaushalla in Jammu so that the facility for the cows care and also Nandis can be developed as these animals are facing wrath of the people after they become useless due to age or other factors.
Raising the issue vociferously, he asked the Mayor to ensure that not a single bovine is left by its owners on roads suffer. He demanded strictest possible action under law against those who indulge in atrocities against cows and even calves. He said that ABGGRF after making its proposed Gaushalla will take care of such animals which have been abandoned by the ruthless people. He demanded that government should enact a strict law against those who leave their animals after exploiting them for years together for milk and other purposes.
After giving a patient hearing to the delegation members, the Mayor assured that he will ensure that soon the land for Nandishala and Gaushalla be identified and handed over to the Foundation. The delegation comprised of State President Rattan Kapoor, State Vice President Sham Lal, State General Secretary Dr. Vikas Bharadwaj and social worker Chandrakant.
