Woman among 3 held with drugs

Jammu: Police arrested three people, including a woman, from Jammu and Udhampur districts on Sunday and recovered narcotic substance from their possession.
As per details, a party from Police Station Udhampur led by Insp Chaman Gorka SHO Udhampur under the supervision of Anwar-ul-Haq Addl SP Udhampur, Sahil Mahajan DySP Hqrs Udhampur laid a Naka at Jakheni Naka-point for checking of vehicles. During checking, police stopped a vehicle (JK21F 6705) and during checking recovered 55 gm Heroin (Chitta) from possession of two accused namely Qadar Khan, son of Ahmed Dulla, resident of Majalata and Sushil Sharma, son of Paras Ram, resident of Kaghote, Ramanagar who were arrested on the spot. FIR No. 412/2021 under sections 8/21/22 of NDPS Act was registered against the duo at Police Station Udhampur.
Meanwhile, during routine patrolling, a party from Police Party Narwal signaled a woman to stop near Rajeev Nagar Chowk Narwal, who was moving suspiciously with white-coloured plastic bags in her hand. Instead of stopping, she tried to run away from spot but was chased away by alert cops and apprehended. During search, 2 Kg 300 gram Ganja and 6.50 gm heroin was recovered from her possession.
On questioning, she disclosed her identity as Shakeela Devi, wife of Late Ashok Kumar, resident of Rajeev Nagar, Narwal. She was arrested and FIR No. 353/21 under sections 8/20/21/22 of NDPS Act was registered against her at Police Station Trikuta Nagar. Police team led by Insp Deepak Pathania SHO Trikuta Nagar and assisted by SI Achal Rana made arrest/recovery under the supervision of Sajjad Sarwar SDPO City East, Deepak Digra SP South Jammu and overall supervision of Chandan Kohli, SSP Jammu.
