RAMBAN, Nov 11: Police arrested a woman drug peddler along with 125 grams cannabis.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Ramban led by SHO Inspector Sandeep Charak and assisted by PSI Rinku Sharma under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen laid a naka and intercepted a woman, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 125 grams cannabis from the possession of the woman and arrested him.
The arrested lady was identified as Shabnam (35), wife of Younis, a resident of Ward Number 1, District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 186/2021 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the woman at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
It is pertinent to mention here that the woman’s husband Younis is a known drug peddler who was arrested in cases registered under FIR Numbers 33/2019 under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act and 124/2021 under Section 8/20/29 NDPS Act of Police Station Banihal.
