- Pays obeisance at Kal Bhairav templea

JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party Jammu and Kashmir Vice President, Yudhvir Sethi, senior BJP leader and former minister Priya Sethi along with party workers paid obeisance at the ancient Kal Bhairav Temple Chowk Chabutra and prayed for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory and its people.
It is pertinent to mention here that today’s visit by the aforesaid BJP leaders was in connection with three day festival of Kaal Bhairav Ashtami that concluded here on Monday.
The festival witnessed a heavy rush of devotees today amidst strict adherence to COVID SOPs who participated in the mass prayers on the occasion. The festival concluded with a Bhandara organized by Bhairav Temple Trust that was inaugurated by Yudhvir Sethi and Priya Sethi at the Kal Bhairav Temple.
Addressing the congregation on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said, “The temples are places of historic significance add to the grandeur of Jammu besides connecting people of all faiths. People drawn from different sections of society who pay obeisance at the temple reflect brotherhood and spiritualism that can be showcased around the globe.
Yudhvir Sethi said that this temple is famous for worshipping Kaal Bhairav who is believed to reside in Bhrikuti (eyebrows) of Lord Shiva. He said that the routine Aarti and chanting of hymns that are done in this temple for Lord Shiva followed by that of Lord Bhairav reverberate in the air sending positive vibes all around.
He asserted that besides the religious and spiritual aspect this temple is also an important segment of Jammu’s rich cultural heritage that should be preserved for the progeny at all cost.
Congratulating the management of the temple trust for successfully organizing the festival, both Yudhvir Sethi and Priya Sethi prayed for happy and healthy life of the people of J&K.
