Crime Branch produces charge-sheet against two for preparing fake stamp papers

SRINAGAR: Crime Branch Kashmir produced charge-sheet in FIR No.70/2007 under Sections 420, 258, 259, 260, 467, 468, 471, 120-B, 201 of RPC registered at Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir, before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Ganderbal against accused persons namely Javid Ahmad Matta, son of Habib-Ullah, resident of Anantnag and Syed Showkat Hussain Qadri, Gh Mustafa Qadri, resident of Umer Colony, Lal Bazar for preparing fake stamp papers and using the same for execution of sale deed, thereby causing huge loss to the state exchequer.
As per the case, Crime Branch Kashmir received a communication from the Court of Sub-Registrar Ganderbal alleging therein that stamp duty papers used for sale deed are fictitious, forged, though the same appear to be original and accordingly, instant case was registered in Crime Branch Kashmir. During investigation, it was established that accused namely Javid Ahmad Matta, son of Habib-Ullah, resident of Anantnag and Syed Showkat Hussain Qadri, Gh Mustafa Qadri, resident of Umer Colony, Lal Bazar, in a well-knit criminal conspiracy, prepared fake stamp papers. The accused persons used to sell these fake stamp papers to people for executing sale deeds etc. It is pertinent to mention here that accused also figured in FIR No 71/2007 under sections 420, 258, 259, 260, 467, 468, 471, 120-B, 201 of PC for which charge-sheet was also produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar.
