GANDERBAL: The two days District Ganderbal Shootingball Championship 2021 organized by District Ganderbal Shootingball Association under the aegis of J&K Shootingball Association and in collaboration with J&K Sports Council concluded at Government College of Physical Education, here on Tuesday.
More than 200 participants of different institutions, colleges and clubs under the age category of Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Men/Women took part in the Championship.
Senior Professor Dr. N. A. Waza, Govt. College of Physical Education Ganderbal was the Chief Guest while faculty of the College including Dr. Mushtaq Azad, Dr. Showkat Ahmad, Irshad, District Association Secretary Er. Shaqeeb Sahib, Irfan Hussain Malik Lecturer & Senior Members of the Association Zahid Hussain, Tahir Abbass, Vilayat Hussain, M. Furkaan, Aqib Hussain, Masrat Jan and Ahsan Ali was among Guests of Honour on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest congratulated all participants in general and winners and runner-up in particular and hailed the organizers for organizing such events.
GCOPE Club (Men) & Kangan Club (Women) won the finals in senior category against Physical Education College teams, while Kangan Club & Nunar Spartans lift the title in Junior Category.
District Baramulla & Kulgam Shootingball Championships is scheduled in the month of December 2021, said Organizing Secretary Ahsan Ali while presenting vote of thanks.
