SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday recorded 139 fresh Covid case–, 37 from Jammu division and 102 from Kashmir division–thus taking the total number of positive cases in the Union Terrotpru to 341167.
Officials said that one Covid related death has been reported from Jammu Division.
Moreover, 120 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 19from Jammu Division and 101 from the Valley.
According to daily Media Bulletin, out of 341167 positive cases, 1294are Active Positive (382in Jammu Division and 912 in Kashmir Division), 335347 have recovered and 4526 have died; 2198 in Jammu division and 2328in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 19258740 test results available, 341167 samples have tested positive and 18917573 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 65017 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 5192782 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 8219 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1294 in isolation and 432036 in home surveillance. Besides, 4746707 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Meanwhile, Ladakh has recorded 15 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 22,155 in the Union Territory, officials said.
The Union Territory has recorded 219 Covid-related deaths — 161 in Leh and 58 in Kargil — since the outbreak of the pandemic last year, they said.
A total of 968 sample reports in Ladakh were found negative, they said, adding 32 patients have recovered taking the total number of cured patients to 20,739.
The total number of active cases in Ladakh has decreased to 197 including 148 in Leh and 49 in Kargil district.
