JAMMU: Northern Region Transmission System (NRTS)-II celebrated 73rd Republic Day at Grid Bhawan, here with gaiety & enthusiasm. Kailash Rathore, Executive Director, POWERGRID Northern Region-II unfurled the National Flag in the presence of senior officials and employees of the company.
Kailash Rathore gave a brief account of the milestones achieved by POWERGRID in general and NRTS -II in particular.
He appreciated employees of the Region for their outstanding contribution in making POWERGRID a Maharatna Company.
He urged upon the employees to continue to serve the organization with dedication as it is this quality that has and will continue to be the main factor in the growth of POWERGRID.
He emphasized on the fact that the growth in per capita power consumption reflects the Nation’s growth, where POWERGRID has contributed not only in establishing cross-country EHV transmission network but also establishing HV network in rural areas for extending grid connectivity to last mile of the villages.
Kailash Rathore impressed upon the gathering to follow all Covid protocols in the present situation & wished for well being of them and their families.
Similar functions were organized at all establishments of POWERGRID in the Region comprising of states HP, Punjab, Haryana & UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Chandigarh.
