Govt enforcing ‘Godse’s India’, says Mehbooba

SRINAGAR, Feb 7: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Monday accused the Modi Government of enforcing “Godse’s agenda” to divide Hindus and Muslims and using the Union Territory as a lavaratory.
She said not only Kashmir but the entire country was being on “Godse’s agenda”.
This is not the Government, it is a dictatorship which they are implementing with their 70-year-old agenda they are pursuing,” she said. They want to make it (Nathuram) Godse’s India instead of (Mahatma) Gandhi’s India, for which Jammu and Kashmir is being used as a laboratory.”
The PDP leader said her party was not surprised over the outcome of the Delimitation report in Jammu and Kashmir.
PDP is not surprised with the delimitation report that has come to the forefront. We had already informed that there are fears that the report is an agenda of BJP,” Mehbooba told reporters here.
Everything they are starting from Kashmir, and the time will come when the same tactics would be applied in other parts of the country, she said.
Mehbooba alleged that the constituencies have been redrawn so that it will make no difference if we vote or not.
The majority community in Kashmir or Rajouri or Chenab valley are being disempowered.”
Mehbooba said the BJP is not listening to anyone in the country. This is not only our problem.
She said farmers protested for one year on roads. They were not listened to. However, when the election date in Uttar Pradesh was announced, the farm law was withdrawn.
She said the members of Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration would meet on February 23 in Jammu and discuss the delimitation report. (Agencies)
