GDC Kathua starts seven days special winter camp

KATHUA: The NSS units of Govt. Degree College, Kathua started its seven days special winter camp. Dr Mohan Singh Pathania Principal GCW Kathua inaugurated the camp in the presence of officiating Principal Prof Raj Kiran Sharma and other senior faculty members.
This camp will be organized continuously for next six days at village Bhagthali in Jarai panchayat, Block Nagri, Kathua.
This is the second year of the camp in the same village. Programme was started with traditional lamp lightening followed by Sarasvati Bandhana.
NSS Programme officer Prof. Manmohan Singh presented formal welcome note on this occasion.
The Programme Schedule of the camp was read out by Sakshi Bhau Senior most NSS volunteers.On this occasion, Principal of the college declared the camp open and he also advised the volunteers to imbibe the feeling of social service in them so that they can play an important role in Nation building.
Later on NSS volunteers presented NSS Song also on this occasion.
The vote of thanks was given by Prof. Neha Bandral. Later NSS volunteers conducted cleanliness drive in the campus premises.
The senior faculty members including Prof. Jasvinder Singh, Prof. Rakesh Singh, Prof. Shub Kumar, Prof Rachna and Dr.Kailash Sharma were also present on this occasion.Proceedings of the ceremony was conducted by Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma NSS program officer.
