POONCH: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday visited the residence of late veteran politician from Poonch Yashpal Sharma to mourn his unfortunate demise.
While mourning the demise of Yashpal Sharma, Mehbooba Mufti expressed shock and grief over his sudden demise and conveyed sympathies to the bereaved family. She termed the death of Yashpal Sharma as a big loss to the party in particular and the society at large in general. While highlighting the qualities and contributions of the deceased leader, she observed that the gap created by Yashpal Sharma’s demise in the polity of the Jammu and Kashmir would not be easy to fill.
Mehbooba Mufti termed Yashpal Sharma as a true statesman and added that his death has created a vacuum in the political horizon of the State which is impossible to be filled. She prayed to Almighty for peace to the departed soul and patience and courage to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss in this hour of grief.
