JAMMU: Satwari police has registered an FIR on the written complaint of one Angad Singh, son of a retired IGP of J&K Police J P Singh.
According to the complaint, Angad entered into a deal for the supply of Industrial oil with a Chennai-based company. He paid Rs 26 lakh to the company for oil trading. However, on no response from the company, an FIR has been lodged with the Satwari police stating that the payment of Rs 26 lakh has been made online. Police has registered the FIR to probe the matter in detail.
“Angad is also running two petrol pumps in Jammu-one near Airport and other at Gangyal area”, police said, adding “we are also probing the mode of payments made to the oil company.”
Here it is pertinent to mention that under rules, no petrol pump operator can indulge in any type of other oil trading. “We are probing the case from all angles,” police said.
