JK Public School Kunjwani celebrates Ram Navami

JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani celebrated Ram Navami with fervour and religious spirit.
The students of class IX sang religious hymns.
The birth anniversary of Lord Ram is celebrated on Ram Navami, one of the most important Hindu festivals.
Lord Ram was born on the Navami Tithi of the Chaitra month’s Shukla Paksha. Every year on this day, Lord Ram’s birthday is commemorated. Lord Ram was born in the middle of the Hindu day, during the Madhyahna period.
Students created a religious ambience by reciting religious songs. The gaiety and sanctity of the occasion was doubled at the time of Jakaare.
Our enthusiastic students, explained Rama was the seventh incarnation of Vishnu. He was the hero of the Ramayana, the ancient Sanskrit epic.
A continuous recital of the book takes place during the month of Chaitra prior to the celebration. On Ram Navami itself, the highlights of the story are read in the temple. Houses are thoroughly cleaned on Rama Navami and a family shrine may be decorated with small statues of Rama. Offerings of flowers and fruit are placed on the shrine and prayers are recited after an early bath.
Director, Shashi Chaudhary, Principal, Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal, Shashi Rattan, Associate to Vice Principal, Roopinder Kour, School Coordinator, Inderjeet Kaur, were also present on the occasion.
Principal wished ‘Happy Ram Navami’ to everyone and appreciated all participants.
The programme was well organized by Assembly Incharges (Sushma Sharma, Neha Sandhu and Shallu Gupta), Music Department and Art Department.
School Coordinator appreciated the efforts put in by the children and teachers. The programme concluded on a happy note with festive spirit and message of universal brotherhood.
