The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, has earned the distinction of being the first national institution to graduate more than 400 PhDs at its 60th convocation on Saturday. In a first, the Powai college awarded 449 PhD degrees this year, up from 378 last year and 301 in 2019. The PhD students’ strength has also increased in the last 10 years.
