As India launches the first vaccine against cervical cancer, it is sorry to note that not many know about the disease. Cervical cancer is one of the major causes of cancer related deaths in the country and accounts for more than 16% cancer cases in women in India. However, less knowledge on this raises questions on whether the purpose behind the vaccine development will be fulfilled completely.
