BISHNAH/BANI: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Police on Saturday arrested two narco smugglers and recovered heroin and Charas from their possession.
As per details, a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SDPO R S Pura Surinder Singh assisted by SHO Bishnah Inspr Vikram Sharma while on Naka duty at Delli Bishnah where police rounded up a suspect, coming from Laswara side on motor cycle (JK02A5974). During search, 4.20 gm heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused, identified as Roshan Lal alias Shampoo, son of Thoru Ram, resident of Tanda Tehsil R.S.Pura, was arrested and FIR 45/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Bishnah.
Meanwhile Kathua Police under the guidance of SSP Kathua Shivdeep Singh Jamwal also recovered/seized 734 gm Charas like narcotics in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bani from a drug peddler. A Police team led by Insp. Jaswinder Singh SHO Police Station Bani under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Arvind Kumar during raid at Main Bazar Bani area specially in rented shop of Manzoor Hussain, son of Habib, residemt of Duggan recovered/seized 734 gm Charas like narcotics from his possession. He was arrested and FIR 05/2023 under sections 8/20/ NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Bani.
