Unemployed youth duped of Rs 5 lakh in lieu of Govt job

JAMMU: Peer Mitha police on Thursday booked journalist Sohail Kazmi for fraud.
As per the details, a written complaint was lodged by Dr. K L Sharma with Police Station Peer Mitha that Sohail Kazmi, journalist of a Urdu newspaper, took Rs 5 lakh from the complaint in lieu of providing the fourth class job in a Government Department in 2021.
He further stated that when the candidate was not selected, complainant approached to Kazmi and requested to return Rs 5 lakh. But he is not repaying the said amount.
Acting on the complaint, FIR 12/2023 under sections 420 PIC has been registered against Sohail Kazmi at Police Station Peer Mitha and further investigations started. Investigators are gathering more evidences while there are many similar complaints wherein the unemployed youth have been cheated.
