KATHUA: After attending week-long coaching camp at Volleyball grounds, Hiranagar Morh, organized by Mohinder Sharma, a national player and General Secretary of District Kathua Volleyball Association, senior volleyball team of Kathua district on Friday left for Jammu to participate in the J&K UT Senior Volleyball Championship-2022 being held at MA Stadium Jammu from February 25 to 27, 2023.
The team comprising of 10 players, most of them have represented J&K in Junior/Youth National and Jammu University in Inter-University Championships from time to time, attended the coaching camp before departure.
Ram Lal Sharma is accompanying the team as manager.
M.L Toofan, President, Kathua District Volleyball Association, Ram Lal Kalia Chairman BDC Hiranagar, Swami Krishananadji Maharaj (Mahant Qila Wali Mata Mandir ) and Roop Lal Sharma Lecturer (retd) were present on the occasion who encouraged, blessed and conveyed their well wishes to the team and hoped that the team will perform their best in the Championship.
Other prominent persons present were Kamal Sharma (President Mela Volleyball Club), Rajesh Kumar (President Hiranagar Volleyball Club), SP Sharma (Gurha Mundian), Yashpaul Sharma (President Garah Volleyball Club).
