Unfazed by the scepticism outside and disregarding the misgivings within, PM Narendra Modi on Monday doubled down on his government’s outreach to OBCs and Dalit Muslims who are identified as Pasmandas. Addressing a webinar on “last mile delivery” on how to reach the benefits of government’s schemes to the socially and economically underprivileged, the PM identified the welfare of Pasmandas on the same pedestal as that of tribals.
