Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu is set to be released from the Patiala Central Jail on Saturday, less than two months short of the completion of his one-year sentence. There was no official confirmation on this but a tweet from the former Punjab Congress president’s handle on Friday said: “This is to inform everyone that Sardar Navjot Singh Sidhu will be released from Patiala Jail tomorrow. (As informed by the concerned authorities)”.
