Jailed gangster Atiq Ahmad had confessed to his involvement in Umesh Pal murder case and has stated that the conspiracy to commit the crime was hatched when he was in Sabarmati jail, says the police remand note put up before CJM Allahabad court on Thursday. “From Pakistan, a cache of arms was dropped by a drone on the Punjab borders. Then by local connections, it was transported to Jammu and Kashmir,” said Atiq in a statement to police.
