The Karnataka government will implement all five guarantees made in the Congress poll manifesto “in the present financial year”, announced state chief minister Siddaramaiah on Friday after holding a cabinet meeting on the matter. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently mocked Congress’s “guarantee formula” for state elections stating that such guarantees “will leave the country bankrupt”.
