Four months after Sunita Rautela (40), a marginal apple grower in a remote Uttarkashi village, sent a jar of apple chutney to PM Modi, she has been invited to New Delhi to attend this year’s Independence Day celebrations. Rautela was barely managing to make ends meet till even about a year ago.
