LAHDC-Kargil Polls | Counting Underway, BJP Bags Stakchay Khangral Constituency

KARGIL, Oct 8: The counting of votes for the elections to 26 seats of the 30-member Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, is underway amid tight security. Voting for the LAHDC polls took place on October 4.
As per the latest update that we are getting, Abdul Wahid of the National Conference (NC) has won the Bhimbat constituency by defeating Congress, and BJP. Punchok Tashi, another NC leader, has won from Buddhist majority seat Padum. While Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has won Stakchay Khangral constituency.
Congress has recorded its wins in Pashkum seat, defeating Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
