SAMBA, Dec 30: Within few hours after the commission of offence, Samba police arrested accused involved in murderous attack on a person with sharp-edged weapon near 17 miles in wee hours this morning.
The arrested accused has been identified as Hasham Ali alias Billa, son of Mohd Latief of Pekhri tehsil, Vijaypur district Samba.
Police said this morning , one Devinder Singh resident of Pekhri, Vijaypur was attacked with Sharped-edge weapon near 17 Miles. Police registered attempt to murder case FIR No.191/2023 U/S 323,341, 34, 307 IPC 4/25 Arms Act at Police Station, Vijaypur and arrested person was identified by the injured person and further investigation is underway.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that 164 hardcore criminals involved in heinous crimes including murders, attempt to murders etc have been arrested in Samba district in past eleven months and stringent action under law is being taken against miscreants and ‘Gunda’ elements in the district.
