JAMMU, Apr 15: A bootlegger was arrested with 40 bottles of illicit liquor from Arnia area here today.
Police said acting on specific information, a raid was conducted at Kothey Salehar area where one Jinder Paul alias Bhodu of Kothey Salehar was caught red-handed while selling the illicit liquor.
He was caught with 40 bottles of J&K Excise Whiskey recovered from his possession, said police.
The accused has been accordingly booked in case FIR number 12/2024 under section 48 of the Excise Act registered at Police Station Arnia and further investigation taken up.
