Suvendu Adhikari, leader of the opposition in the West Bengal assembly, alleged on Wednesday that TMC MLA Tapan Chatterjee verbally abused him and attempted to assault him within the state legislative premises. The BJP leader and Nandigram MLA expressed feelings of insecurity while on the assembly premises and wrote a letter to Bengal speaker Biman Bandyopadhyay seeking action against the ruling TMC MLA. Suvendu Adhikari stated that he felt unsafe in the assembly environment following the alleged incident.
