For nearly two decades, Basheer Kalathiparambil, 44, has been a constant presence in Kerala’s major tragedies. An electrician by profession, Basheer has handled hundreds of bodies in disasters like cyclone Ockhi, the Kavalappara landslide, and the recent Wayanad landslide. His volunteer work involves marking and cleaning bodies, selflessly aiding authorities and grieving families.
