JAMMU, Oct 3: An unidentified male body was recovered from the canal at Gadigarh area here today.
A police official said around 10 am, some passerby informed police about a floating male body in the canal.
Accordingly, he said, a team of Police from Gadigarh Police Post reached at the spot and took the body into possession. Later, it was shifted to the hospital for post-mortem and identification, he said.
According to the police official, the deceased was around 20-22 years old.
Meanwhile, police have started investigation into the matter and appealed the general public to identify the deceased.
